Born and raised in Chicago Illinois, William Woolway has spent his life as a painter. He served in World WarII in North Africa and Italy and afterward had a long career in advertising.
In 1979 Billy moved to Santa Barbara where he continues to work with acrylic and found metal on wood and canvas. His award winning paintings have been featured in museums and art institutions all over the country and are acquired by national and international collectors alike. His work can be seen at Casa Mexicana in Westlake Village and at Lanning Gallery in Sedona, Arizona, and his cards are available at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art Store.
